The rear sight plate on the P365xl is affixed by two hex screws requiring per Sig a 5/64 hex key/Allen wrench. The screws were very tight and difficult to remove as many others have reported. The hex key tended to move/turn in the screw head even after inserting and pushing down firmly before attempting to carefully turn counter clockwise.

To fix the problem had to use my small drill press with a vise and was able to drill off the head of the screws with a 5/64 drill bit centered directly on the screw head. It worked perfectly, no damage to the slide whatsoever and all I need to replace are the already trashed rear sight screws if I ever decide to take off the red dot sight.
