F4se can't find fallout4.exe - Feb 8, 2019 · Move your games out of Program Files. That's a Windows Protected Folder and causes no end of headaches when modding (Worse on Win10). Some can get it to work, but it's recommended to install the games you're going to mod (like Skyrim & FO4) outside the Program Giles Folder.

 
It could be that you need to run the launcher once to get everything set again and then F4SE will work correctly. Nope, I actually tried that earlier and it didn't work either.
